It's interesting that we have a national-league newspaper in Washington (The Washington Post) and people still find time to complain about it. If you take apart any issue during a given week, you really will find a pretty wide range of coverage of both national and local issues. (And the mini one they hand out on the Metro is a hoot!) It's like TV if you ask me. You don't like it, don‚t read it. DC has all kinds of newspapers (right wing, left wing, black, gay, Hispanic, Asian). The Post can't be all things to all people, but it comes close. With all of the cable and Internet news, it's a miracle papers stay in business. Remember years ago when the Internet came out and everyone (not me!) thought newspapers would fold! I say enjoy it. Although I would like to see a little more coverage and investigative reporting into some of the shoddy and unqualified government contractors that seem to have business drop in their lap when they don't have any idea what they are doing. I know of some and plan to report them and the time and money they waste pretending to be a business!
